Snow!

Even if it's only a light dusting the kids are ready bright and early for sledding on our
slightly-sloped side yard,

scraping up as much snow as possible to make a mini-snowman,

and visiting with our neighbor cows at the end of the circle!

Snow makes them extra friendly...

or maybe it's the handful of yummy weeds :)

In other news we had the opportunity on very short notice to get tickets for Disney on Ice. We got them for a great deal through ry's work and thought it might be fun since we've never done anything like that. The first 15 minutes of the show Ryan and I kept glancing at one another with worried looks... what had we gotten ourselves into... this was the cheesiest thing I had ever seen. After the opening act things settled down and it actually turned out to be a good time. It was fun to watch Jack clap wildly at the end of every scene, and see Porter's surprised face when Peter Pan flew through the air, and listen to him cheer while cannon balls were fired on Captain Hook's ship. Although I truly think his most favorite thing was the jumbo popcorn we purchased. The best though was to watch Sophie... her little eyes were totally glazed over with wonder and excitement. She didn't take her eyes off the show for a minute... what girl doesn't dream of happily ever after :)
