The other day Porter asked nicely if he could use my camera to take some pictures. I said that would be fine and reminded him of some of the excellent shots he had taken at the beach this summer, and that I thought he really had a great eye for photography. He walked around the house taking "action shots" of Sophie and Jack pretending to be zoo animals and some of me making the bed.
"Porter you are really good at taking photos, maybe when you grow up you'll be a photographer, " I told him. He pondered what I had said for a moment, then in a very matter-a-fact tone responded, "That would be neat Mom, but I am going to be Santa Claus when I grow up."

Then of course Jack wanted to try his hand at photography... he might need a little more practice before capturing that perfect photo :)

our Ryan's went to lunch today:)I am so sorry about Porter's(I know Ryan said it was your son so I am assuming it was Porter)diagnoses. I have a good friend whose daugther was diagnosed less than a year ago and I know she would be more than willing to talk with you about how they handle things..so get me your number or let me know and I can give her yours.I wish I was up there right now to give you a big hug!
