i learned how to french braid! something i've always wanted to do... so I watched an online tutorial (about 100 times) until I got it! first on a doll's head (easy)...

then molly (until I felt bad making a prego sit on the floor for so long), then my Mom and finally Sophie (shown below)!

Summer Catch-up Part 2- Molly&Nick's Baby Shower

We arrived safe and sound in Cali Friday evening. Saturday we celebrated with Molly and Nick who would soon welcome baby Ben. Molly chose to have a family barbeque for her shower...

... and it was a blast! It was so fun to gather with our dear Fotheringham side. I truly love that bunch! Here are my sweet cousin Laura's beautiful creations for our table:

We finished our feast just in time for rain, so we moved indoors. Here we are gathered to watch them open their gifts. The blessings of family...

10 year trip-Part 2

Despite the rainy weather we had a wonderful time. Ryan and Nick played golf. The kids spent the days romping in my parent's yard and pulling out all the favorite toys from the drawer in the hall. I enjoyed just being home. I took this picture through the dining room window after a delicious meal (my mom is the best cook) while visiting with Molly and chatting about her pregnancy. The guys and kids shootin' hoops:
