Porter's bday recap

So Porter's birthday was spread over three days (lucky guy)!  Although Ryan always teases me that I like to stretch mine out as long as possible... more of a birthWEEK than a birthDAY he says!  This is a true statement I will admit.
So Thursday (Mr.'s real birthday) we had his special birthday dinner (just our family).  Don't worry it was more than green beans (see previous post)!  When I asked him what he would like with his green beans he told me gravy.  I then told him that we had to have something to put the gravy on so he chose turkey and mashed potatoes as well.  We had a bit of a mini Thanksgiving, but it was delicious!  Oh and he chose donuts for dessert, no ice cream and cake Mom, just donuts... and family presents of course!  Then I was off to Back to School night for an hour while Dad and kids were happy to be left to build new lego things and try out the new skateboard.

Then Friday I was back in class with Porter (and Jack in bright green rainboots) while Porter was spotlighted as star student and I was asked to come in and read one of Porter's favorite books.  He picked "The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything."  The class didn't disappoint... they did all the hand motions and sound effects at just the right time.  It was a blast!  I love being in the classroom... I revert back to teacher mode :)
So for his bday activity Porter chose to take a couple friends and his little brother (very kind) to Airborne Trampoline Arena after school.  Thankfully I had friend Denise there with me as my second set of eyes... these boys jumped non-stop for over an hour.

Saturday was a few more presents and more family...
I have been on a major organizing craze lately...  so I had great fun organizing his lego guys into these new display boxes.

Homemade brownie cake which I have to say was sooooo good!  Thanks Pinterest!
Hooray!!!
Thanks Ryan for taking the photo.  The end.
