Summer Catch-up

The next few posts will be a summer hodge-podge. Basically I will be playing catch up. So rewind back to May 26th-
Here was Sophie on her last day of K. My sweet, beautiful girl:
With the school year done we could now head off to Cali for family time and fun!

Here we are on our lovely 10 hr. car ride :) Actually our kids have turned into pretty amazing little travelers... with Ryan and I fully dedicated to our "traveling jobs." Ryan drives and I entertain the children. I always try to talk him into letting me give him a break, you know, I drive for awhile while he relaxes in the backseat with the kids... he never goes for it :)

Sophie reading her Dick and Jane treasury
Porter laughing for hours blowing up the whoopie cushion then releasing
Fuel stop and Jack enjoying freedom from the dreaded car seat

p.s. Happy July 12th my husband! 11 years ago today we first met and gazed into each other's eyes across a backyard barbeque :)

Waiting patiently...

Texts sent and received-

birthday fun with our man

My sweetheart had a bday on the 11th. Do you wanna know something kind of fun? Ryan's birthday is 2/11 and mine is 11/2! We were meant to be... :)
Anyway his special weekend included:
Out to breakfast for French Toast (so yummy)
a big "SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" after work welcome home from the kids
(here they are... waiting with anticipation... the garage has opened and his car has pulled in)
(Sophie and P jumped out throwing balloons and screaming while J toddled with big steps around the room... his arms up in the air and his mouth in a little o shape)
Friday night family dinner and dessert
balloons, presents, and games
Saturday night Market Street date with me! (we love MS and had the best dinner and the best time... but really i could have gone anywhere and had the best time because i was in the best company... i am one lucky girl)
