recent happenings

I suffered from food poisoning recently.  This is about the fifth time for me.  It is just really awful... really awful.  For anyone who has experienced food poisoning, you know what I'm saying.  But these notes cheered me up.

Sophie to Porter- he had a cold

Sophie made these hair pins at home to take for her Activity Days craft auction. She sewed the buttons and rolled the rosettes, i helped with the hot glue. She is growing up and it's scary and exciting for me all at the same time!  When i dropped her off for school this morning i felt so homesick for her.  She smiled, waved, and blew me a kiss before she ran to line up with her class...  my heart ached and I just wanted to go grab her out of line and take her back home with me.  Don't worry I didn't get out of the car in my pajama pants... but so wanted too!

Speaking of school- Silvercrest Elementary (home of the Knights) had their- Knights at the Museum event. Student art work covered just about every square inch of wall throughout the building. In addition, some students played musical instruments downstairs, while upstairs their were readings in library or "Poetry Cafe" from selected students.  Sophie was chosen to read her piece, "The Tales and the Wings."
