Goodnight SophieAnne

At the dinner table tonight we all went around naming our favorite thing and least favorite thing about the day.  When it got to Sophie she had so many favorite parts she just couldn't decide what to share...

Tonight when I tucked her in for bed she asked if we could talk about her day.  I replied "of course" and she began to tell me every detail of her day at school.  From the April Fools word search Mrs. Lowry tricked them with, to the rabbit life cycle they put together in Science- every detail... what color she chose for each bunny in the various stages and why...

She talked and talked, and I smiled and smiled. I stroked her hair and tucked it behind her ear.  I nodded and listened to her sweet little voice- in the dark of her room, with the hall light shining in- lighting just above her head where the butterflies rest in her canopy covering.
When she was through I sincerely thanked her for sharing her day with me, and told her that when she is away at school I often pause and think of her, and wonder what she is doing at that moment.  I told her how much I love her and how I hope she always wants to share her days with me... because i will always care and always love her.

Writer's Workshop- How the Easter Bunny gets Eggs

Oh no! I do not have any more eggs!  The Easter bunny ecsklaimed.  Oh what should I do it is Easter morning and I need to be delivering eggs.  But the Easter bunny got an idea.  I can mary a bird and off he went and maryed a bird.  The end.

My favorite is the accompanying illustration to this hopping tale:

And what is it about googly eyes that make art projects so darling :)
