Read from the scriptures the events
of that first Christmas night.
Sophie spent the afternoon preparing for the Nativity play. Every little animal in its perfect spot... so sweet.
Ryan- Narrator
Porter- Joseph
Sophie- Mary
Sweetheart Lovepie- baby Jesus
Don and Jessica- Shepherds and Wise Men
Me- the angel
Jack- casted by his brother and sister, the little lamb didn't quite make it. Exhausted, he barely made it through dinner, so we had to put him down :(
After Joseph and Mary had entered and the baby was brought forth, Porter remembered that Mary had actually arrived on a donkey... not by foot. He insisted we start over and he quickly retrieved his bouncy donkey from the other room. We began again and Mary entered... bouncing all the way to the manger :) We adults wanted to laugh right out loud at the thought of 9 month pregnant Mary bouncing all the way to Bethlehem, but the seriousness in Sophie and Porter's precious little faces made it the sweetest moment.
