Ryan is taking a final tonight, so the kids and I cuddled up with blankies to watch... well, they couldn't agree (mainly because Sophie couldn't convince Porter that his choice wasn't Christmas themed)... so we watched two.
Porter's pick first: Mary Poppins- not really a Christmas movie, but still so good. Bless that movie for the "cleaning up the nursery" scene. We play "spoonful of sugar" all the time at our house. We start out singing and marching the toys to their places and then towards the end sing really fast and pretend like the toys are going crazy! It works. They all help and everything gets put away in a few minutes!
Anyway, we then took a cocoa brake and put Jbee down, then...
Sophie's pick: Mickey's Christmas Carol.... and yes I did get teary at the end... a long running joke with Ryan and I... I know it's a cartoon, but I can't help it!
Now the kids are down and I'm going to watch my favorite- It's a Wonderful Life (with Jimmy Stewart). Hopefully Ryan will be home soon... I miss him.
