Last Night on Irisfield

Tonight is our last night on Irisfield. We've been here just short of 4 years. It has been a good home to us. It is where we welcomed Porter and Jack, where Sophie learned to ride a bike, where Ryan and his Dad worked to put in our lovely brick patio with raised flower beds, do our three-tone paint, and moldings around the windows. It is where family has gathered and camped out while visiting. We have laughed, cried, fought, served, taught and learned here together. And where we have taken many "porch" pictures... here are some of the many:

Now we will squish into a two bedroom apartment in the Delahunty's basement for the next three months while the Homestead is being finished... onto the next adventure!

Oh, kels. That makes me cry! Time goes too fast, don't you think? I always think it is so bittersweet to leave a home that you have had time raising your children in. So many memories.

Exciting future though. . . .can't wait to get all the updates!

Yep, that made me tear up too. I remember you guys moving in...expecting Porter and little cherubic face Sophie! It was a pleasure seeing you guys daily! So glad we are friends.

There is something really special about Irisfield. I was remembering the time I borrowed chicken from you and I was embarrassed all over again :) Your pics on your porch are so neat to see the progression in your family.
