Yesterday Ryan and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary. Because of work, school, homework, group work, selling a house, buying a house, preparing for the wedding trip, etc. etc. etc. we decided to postpone going out until Cali, where we can leave our little darlings with their grandparents and spend a day, well at least a few hours before jack is ready to nurse again :) on our own, without any other demands. So last night our celebration consisted of Family Night with cupcakes and snuggling on the couch together researching Snowies... I'll explain later.
Ryan brought home a beautiful bunch of tulips and I presented him with a journal. A "blessings journal," for us to record each day together the blessings of the day or how we saw the hand of the Lord in our lives that day. Last night we entitled our entry, "10 Blessings of the Day." Number five was: yummy tacos for dinner :)

Speaking of tacos... today I was thinking about the wonderful blessing it is to be able to prepare and serve my family delicious and nutritious meals each day.
Porter's lunch today:

This kid is the healthiest eater ever! He loves to snack on fruits and veggies and like me loves veggies galore on his sandwiches (red pepper, lettuce, avocados (oops, actually a fruit) cucumber... you name it). Today was lettuce and pickles. I think pickles are P's favorite food right now. Sophie is a good eater too loving oatmeal, broccoli, 918 Cedar walnuts, and most of all blueberries... actually any berry! She is deathly afraid of apple peels though :)

You win the prize for always having beautiful food on the table! You have great presentation...no wonder Porter wants to eat it all! I have never seen an orange tree-looks like fun! Hope the celebration goes well this weekend!
