Her Imagination

Yesterday morning I was upstairs doing laundry when Sophie appeared in the doorway with her "pet puppy". She had found a picture in a magazine downstairs of a dog sticking its head out of a car window. She cut out the head then retrieved a brown lunch bag from the kitchen. She cut out a body, tail and legs and then secured all the pieces together with tape. Whala! Pet puppy!
This morning after breakfast she disappeared into the toy closet with some supplies. She emerged hobbling around with one foot completely wrapped in toilet paper. When I questioned her about the foot and toilet paper she told me that it was broken and she had just been to the doctor where she had been informed she needed a cast...

Sophie never ceases to amaze me with her creativity. I am excited to see as she grows, how she will use this great gift of imagination in her life.

That dog is very cute in a disturbed sort of way. It makes me laugh in a "mom who knows" sort of way. It IS very creative...it actually looks like some of the dogs I encountered in Chile....
