Good Times

Rainy Day:
Rainy days are good days... you get to where your froggy boots

I have a wonderful husband:
This man is so good with our precious children.  Quick story; The other morning before church I took Sophie's braided pigtails out from the night before so she could have "curly" hair.  She said, "Mommy I think Daddy will love my curly hair!"  I told her that I agreed and then we headed out.  We met Ryan in our usual bench (he had already been at church for meetings).  Before I could whisper to him about making sure he comment on Sophie's hair, he bent down to look her in the eyes and said, "Sophie, your hair is so beautiful!"  My heart leapt and I could have kissed him right then and there for his tenderness.
Fresh Air:
We took the Young Women on an overnighter up Provo Canyon to the McKay Cabin.  It was so beautiful I had Ryan bring the kids up the next day after the girls returned home.
Hiking to Stewart Falls with my cute Beehives

I took the kids on a nature walk and taught them to stop and listen to the noises they heard along the trail.  Porter took this task very seriously.

Squirrel food
Nature treasures
If there is a hole to be found that one can drop sticks and rocks down through... Porter will find it

Cute Jakey... Missy I had to stick this one in

Bath Time:
The cutest and funniest part about this is that he had no idea that bath toy was stuck to his head!

Backyard Play:
I know it's out of focus, but I love it

These ponies payed extra for the deep cleansing organic spa treatment

Making Homemade Pesto:
Sophie Anne collecting basil for our recipe

Haircut for Mr. P:
Waiting for Dad
Where did that gust of wind come from?
Giving Mr. P  the run down on the clippers

Lunch with "The Chef":
Art for lunch

Sophie informed me this morning that it was my pretend birthday:
Sea creature themed cake by Sophie Anne (because she knows I love the ocean)

Some invited friends enjoying a slice of sea creature cake

BYU vs. Wyoming:
(Final 44-0) (BYU vs. UCLA last week 59-0)  Go Cougs!!!

Season tickets with Mark and Angie, Don joined us for the game as well.
Finally got my own "Y" shirt... I usually where one of Ry's
Proud moment for Ry... his whole family geared up and sporting BYU blue

Last summer softball game:

Not quite bud!
Babysitting for a friend while she takes a turn on the slide.
Where's Sophie.... oh, there she is.

so cute Kels! I can't believe how old Porter is looking these days! I'd give anything to be able to see you guys more often! I decided that whether anyone comes with me or not I'm coming out to visit sometime before Christmas! Love you!

Sophie did tell me yesterday that her froggy boots are too small, so now Porter can wear them! So, I hope to see pictures of Porter in the infamous boots! Awesome pictures!

We are out of control rooting for the cougars over here in IL. We have to search for info on them - they of course are not covered one iota out here. But MAN we are so excited for the season that they are having!!! WE are pretending that THIS season is the last one we got tickets to....

I love the kids in their cougar get-up.

And your basil looks very healthy - mine this year - all 5 plants look anemic.
