For the Birds

We discovered yesterday that a bird is building its nest in the wreath on our front door!  We had spotted bits of twigs and leaves on our doorstep for the past week, but hadn't noticed the growing little nest.  Yesterday the front door was propped open while we carried some things inside.  As I walked past the wreath the bird flew right passed my head on its way out of the nest.  It scared and surprised me at the same time!  We have scared it a couple of times now accidentally as we have been coming and going, so we'll see if it decides to stick with our porch as its permanent address.
